Italy update

Gianni (49) has been CEO of Carton Pack since the early 2000s, after joining the family business in 1993 following university in Italy and the US. Through a strategic diversification of the product portfolio, with a focus on increasing the level of service in the fruit & vegetable packaging segment, Gianni guided Carton Pack’s growth from €M 10 million in turnover to €M 90 and a significant increase in employment in the local territory. In recent years, Gianni has focused strongly on environmental sustainability, leading Carton Pack to be a forerunner in the use of recycled plastic, thereby allowing the company to acquire a significant market share and placing it in a leading position in its reference market.

Xavier (44) joined ProductLife Group in May 2020 after 13 years at Altran as Group VP of Life Sciences where he managed a team that has delivered substantial international development across Europe, Asia and North America. Combining a prestigious scientific background with deep industry experience, Xavier’s ambitions are now to lead ProductLife Group towards becoming the global reference player in Regulatory and Compliance outsourced services for pharmaceutical laboratories and medical device manufacturers. Xavier is a pharmacist and holds a Ph.D in Immunology.

Paweł Gizicki, CFO, VGL Group

Poland update

Paweł (48) joined VGL Group in 2014 as CFO and was appointed Management Board Member in 2016. His main responsibilities include: strategy, M&A and contract logistics. Paweł started his professional career in financial audit and business advisory services at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. He was then CFO / CEO in various companies operating in sectors such as software, auto parts distribution and logistics. Paweł has had a material input in the VGL Group's current market position notably with the creation of shared services centre, the strengthening of business processes and IT architecture or the acquisition of Solid Logistics.
